Chinese CDMOs have become key players in the pharmaceutical supply chain, offering services like drug development, clinical trials, and large-scale manufacturing. Recently, the United States launched the US Bio Secure Act which prohibits any US pharmaceutical company from engaging in partnerships with Chinese CDMOs. The act received bipartisan support and was implemented in January 2024.
