    'Indigenous justice systems are alternate justice systems generally for resolving civil matters arising among members of indigenous communities. They are usually presided by respected and knowledgable individuals of the community like village elders tribal chiefs etc. Individuals can approach indigenous courts through mutual consent. Although not statutorily recognised indigenous courts in India continue to exist and enjoy de facto state and societal legitimacy. They are prevelant in the form of tribal courts in many North-Eastern states of the country.

    A boycott is a refusal to engage in economic activity with a certain country. Divestment is the selling off of assets in that country. Sanctions involve restrictions on trade with the country including trade barriers and tariffs. Boycott divestment and sanctions movements promote these economic measures to isolate and punish countries that are perceived to violate human rights or international law. Similar movements have existed for apartheid South Africa and the State of Israel.

    A matriarchal indigenous community has been living in isolation for a long time. The central government has now reached out to them and extended an offer to live in a more integrated society and be treated like a separate state but a part of the country. If they choose to take this offer they will have to follow all the rule and regulations of a traditional state.

    Land Councils are regional organisations that represent the Indigenous Australians who occupied the region before the arrival of European Settlement. Their primary functions are to assist Aboriginal peoples in protecting and maintaining their land or cultural sites and organise land claims. Depending on the resources available, some Land Councils also offer programs to help local Indigenous businesses or Individuals access housing and employment.
