    For the purposes of this debate, the “green future” is a world envisioned by countries and environmental movements and/or organizations across the globe in response to climate change impacts at present. The attempts to achieve a green future include, but are not limited to, aggressive decarbonization, search and transition to alternative fuels, projected and current implementations of green technology, and the rise of the just-stop-oil movement and the like.

These caps seek to protect UK consumers from anticipated increases in wholesale energy costs. With these new caps, the typical household will pay £1000 less annually than they would have with the previous price structure.
