    Case Study: In 2015, the #FeesMustFall movement erupted at universities in South Africa, advocating for the cessation of tuition fee increases at universities and calling for government funding support. This student-led movement became intolerant, undisciplined, racially divisive, and coercive, with a certain degree of violence. This caused psychological harm and real loss for some students, along with property damage of 44.25 million US dollars. In 2016, the government announced it would stop raising tuition fees at universities. However, after 2016, the government allowed schools to set their own tuition fee increases, rather than imposing a fee increase cap at 8%.

Today, South Africa is the most industrialized country in Africa, but also the country with the worst income inequality in the world. Black South Africans own only 4% of private land.

Countries in OPEC include Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela, Libya, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Nigeria, Gabon, Angola, Equatorial Guinea and Congo. Other countries that are not in OPEC also produce oil, such as Ecuador, Indonesia and Qatar.

    The CFA franc refers to two currencies (that are interchangeable and have the same value) used in eight West African countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo) and six Central African countries (Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon) respectively. Both these currencies have the same fixed peg to the euro, and member countries deposit a significant fraction of their foreign reserves with the French Treasury.
