    Italian strike is a collective labour protest action where workers do not put in more work than mandated in their job contract, regardless of the usual practices of their place of employment. This can look like: 9-to-5 workers leaving work at exactly 5 PM even if their work is unfinished, employees not participating in extra initiatives of their workplace without getting paid. In contrast, conventional strike is an unpaid mass work stoppage where a labour union's members do not work but picket and protest.
