The soul is constrained to a cycle of rebirth, trapped within the temporal world (saṃsāra), until it finally achieves liberation from this cycle of rebirth (mokṣa). In contrast, the Abrahamic model (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) posits a one-life system where, upon death, one's entire moral determination is judged by God and sent to Heaven or Hell for eternity.

The potion’s effects are permanent, irreversible even by usage of the potion itself.
