You are a middle-income parent with a gifted child. Suppose that there exists a program called SEPG (Special Education Program for Gifted), which is a state-run education program designed for gifted children. Children can receive special education that perfectly suits each child. State offers this service for free but children under the program will be gathered in a training facility and they cannot leave outside till they become adults."

    The Republic of Balka is a developing country struggling with high poverty rates. Recently, the government uncovered the presence of a terrorist group known as Tent operating within its borders. Tent has been responsible for large-scale acts of terrorism across multiple continents, including Asia, Europe, and the US. Intelligence agencies worldwide have been actively pursuing the group. It has come to light that Tent receives orders to commit terrorist acts in return for money. Additionally, the government has learned that Tent operates numerous orphanages within Balka, providing care for thousands of children on a daily basis. If Tent were to be dismantled, these children would lose their place of shelter and care. According to reliable sources, there is a significant opportunity for the government to apprehend members of Tent and disband the organization."

    In collectivist filial pietal cultures (such as China), adults are responsible for working to earn an income for the family, while tasks like childcare are delegated to seniors (often the grandparents of thechild), whilst elderly care for seniors are in turn delegated to their adultchildren (who then go on to take care of their grandchildren before being takencare of by their children when they get old). In individualistic cultures (suchas The Netherlands), every adult is responsible for taking care of themselves, whilst the care-taking of seniors and children is outsourced to for-profit out-of-school-care and elderly care homes.

    (she/her) is in grade 12 of high school. In school, X has always been an average student, but she is incredibly passionate and talented at history. X's mother raises her as a single mom, and had to work three jobs to provide for her, forcing her to give up her dream of going to a dance school. Now, as X is nearing graduation, her mother wants her to work to help pay off loans and not go to university, at least for a few years. X had reluctantly agreed, but she applied to universities anyway, without informing her mother. X got accepted in her dream school with a need-based scholarship that covers most of the school fees, and now, she is rethinking her mother's wish.

    "Blood tax" was a system of taking away male children, usually between the ages of 8 to 10, from conquered Christian lands in the Ottoman Empire. The Ottomans raised the abducted children in the Islamic religion, usually without any knowledge of their origins. In the Ottoman Empire, boys received military training and when they reached the age of 20, they would be assigned to elite Janissary military units. The Ottoman army did not accept boys with serious physical defects (eg. a gouged eye, cut hand, etc.). In order to avoid their child being kidnapped, some families intentionally mutilated their children.
