As a result, Eve and all future women were cursed to have pain in bearing children and to be ruled over by their husbands. Adam, and all future men, were cursed to toil for food for the rest of their lives. Both lost their immortality and were banished from the Garden of Eden.

    The Good Place is an afterlife system in which every action you take on Earth will earn or lose you points based on how good that action is for others and for the world as a whole. For example, carefully stepping over a flower bed will earn you 2.09 points and being rude to a waiter would lose you 6.83 points. Actions that benefit or harm a larger amount of people give points on a larger scale. People with the highest scores surpassing 1,000,000 will get into The Good Place (a heaven like utopia) upon their death—although very few people are able to achieve this score. Those who don’t achieve this score (the vast majority of people) spend their afterlife in The Bad Place, a place of eternal suffering.
