Once used, this technology cannot be reversed.

  • This house, As Siripala would accept Elon Musk's Job offer

    Siripala is a middle-aged Sri Lankan man living with his wife and a teenage child. He has been diagnosed with diabetes and, in addition, lost an arm in a brutal accident. This unfortunate event reduced his ability to work, leading to a significant decline in his family's income. The family now faces serious financial challenges. Despite his circumstances, Siripala has two potential opportunities ahead of him. One option is a traditional job that would not be impacted by his disability, allowing him to continue contributing to his family’s income and maintaining his current way of life. The other opportunity is a new offer from Elon Musk to be a Neuralink test subject, which will provide greater levels of monetary compensation but also comes with potential future health risks due to the unproven technology. Additionally, it would require him to be flown to the US, thereby sacrificing a sense of normalcy. Siripala will also be provided with a bionic arm and a job at one of Elon Musk's companies, contributing to society.

You have just discovered that you are a mutant: a human being with a genetic mutation called the X-gene, which causes superhuman powers that manifest at puberty. Your superhuman powers have just manifested – though, because they are new to you, you do not know how to control them yet. Mutants are an oppressed minority who are hated, feared, and despised by humanity. A group of older mutants has found you and offered to take you to a school for young mutants, where they promise you will be safe from harm and taught to control your powers. If you go with them, you will have to hide your powers from your family or risk being disowned. Alternatively, you saw on the news that a cure has been discovered to rid mutants of their powers. This cure is being offered for free to any mutant who wishes to take it.

    In “the Sims", the "Plumbob" is a glowing crystal that is suspended above each Sim's head and is a fairly accurate reflection of the Sim's current health. If the Sim is in very good health, the Plumbob will be a bright, deep green. As the Sim's health deteriorates, the green will become paler until it becomes neutral white, yellow, orange, red, and even deeper shades of red when in worse conditions. For the purpose of this debate, Plumbobs do not simply reflect one's momentary mood.
