    For Aristotle, happiness, called eudaimonia, is the ultimate goal of human life. It is achieved when the individual lives according to reason and practices virtues such as justice, courage, and temperance. To be happy, in this sense, is to fulfill one's moral and rational potential, contributing to the common good. For Pyrrho, happiness is achieved through ataraxia, a state of inner tranquility and emotional imperturbability. It arises when the individual suspends judgment about what is "good" or "bad," accepting the world as it is and not depending on acting morally or rationally, but on cultivating detachment.
