  • The European Commission would apply the U.S. DRAFT system to the first division clubs of UEFA competitions.

    Infoslide

The American Draft system is a method used in the NBA, NFL, MLB, and other sports associations. This system works by allowing teams from smaller markets and those with worse results to choose their desired players first. For example, the team with the worst result from the previous season can select the best young player available and have priority over everything related to that player, while the best team from the previous season will have the last pick. Teams can trade players and draft positions among themselves at their own discretion, in exchanges where money cannot be used. The UEFA could apply the draft system in a way that differentiates by country. For instance, the best prospects from Spain would go to the draft of their country, and similarly for all the candidates from other countries. For foreign prospects from other continents, they could enter a draft designated for teams with the worst results from all of UEFA.

  • This house, as Georgia, W align itself with the EU over Russia

    Infoslide

Georgia, a post-soviet union state, has been engaged with EU ascension talks. On 8 November 2023, the European Commission issued an official recommendation to grant candidate status to Georgia, which was confirmed on 14 December 2023. Recently, Georgia recently passed a law requiring all NGO's with 20% funding internationally to register as "foreign agents". This law has been nicknamed the "Russia law" as Russia recently passed a similar law. The purpose of this legislation was to deter all foreign news agencies (mostly American/Western Europe) from reporting on the governments corruption. This policy has been incredibly unpopular with most EU officials, and Georgian ascension talks have been paused for now as a result of this policy.
