You're not broke or unable to make ends meet but you definitely aren't financially secure right now. Essentially you could be more comfortable. You are being asked to work on a project dealing with addressing political dissidence in Saudi Arabia and it is the only project available for staffing.

  • This house believes that it is in the interests of the United States to fully redeploy troops in Afghanistan

    After 9/11 in 2001 the terrorist attack on New York City the United States have deployed troops to Afghanistan vowing to support democracy and remove the terrorist threat. The US military has been in Afghanistan since 2001 up until 2021. The Taliban a Islamist militant group was one of the most powerful groups in the area during this 20 year conflict that the US has fought against. However during these 20 years many Americans have been angry with the massive costs and deaths of war while many citizens in the Middle East have been angered by American intervention and presence in the region. President Joe Biden has announced that on September 11th of 2021 the US military will fully withdraw from Afghanistan. As more and more troops have been withdrawing the Taliban has regained power capturing Kandahar and Herāt Afghanistan's 2nd and 3rd largest cities. The Taliban also now controls 12 out of 34 provincial capital cities in Afghanistan which has been a devastating loss for the government of Afghanistan.

Under the last Presidencies US foreign policy has shifted towards more non-interventionalist or isolationist positions. this included the US withdrawal from Syria beginning in 2019 the US withdrawal from Iraq beginning in 2020 and the US withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. Isolationism is also associated with a withdrawal from multilateral and bilateral organisations such as the US withdrawal from the Trade Pacific Partnership the Iran Deal and the Paris Agreement.

In response Qatar significantly scaled up their trade relationship with Iran, establishing a significant increase in trade of food and other consumer goods that were previously almost exclusively provided by the blockading Gulf states. The blockade ended in 2020, but Qatar still maintains close diplomatic relations with Iran.

    Mullah Sachin is a native Afghan. His ancestor was killed in the last anti-Soviet war in Afghanistan. For the past 15 years, he has worked with global human rights organizations to establish this right. Liberal human rights activists have been killed in Taliban-held areas in the past, despite a recent public apology after the Taliban took power. Or as a human rights activist, he is hesitant to fight for the protection of his homeland in such an uncertain situation.
