  • This house prefers the Divergent world to ours

    For the purposes of this debate, the Divergent world behaves in the following way: society is divided into different factions based on key personality traits like bravery, intelligence, kindness, honesty etc... These factions form separate communities, often acting as sub-federal authorities (they function like a municipality or district). Each faction has a specific role: Bravery focuses on defense, Intelligence on education and research, Kindness on healthcare and community, and Honesty on law and justice. When adolescents reach the age of maturity, they take a test to determine their strongest trait and are assigned to the corresponding faction. Once assigned, individuals cannot change factions and must commit to their role.

    আয়মান একজন মধ্যবিত্ত লেখক। গত দশ বছর ধরে আয়মান লেখা-লেখির সাথে জড়িত। কিন্তু লেখক হিসাবে আয়মান নাম ডাক সামান্য। সম্প্রতি কিছু বছর ধরে আয়মান বইয়ের কাটতি ভালো নয়। এই বছর আয়মান হঠাৎ করে তার লেখালেখি জীবনের প্রথম দিকে প্রকাশিত বই "গুলাগ" এর জন্য দেশের সর্বোচ্চ সাহিত্য সম্মাননা "সিয়ান সাদিক পদক" এর জন্য মনোনীত হয়। কিন্তু "গুলাগ" বইটি আয়মানের একার নামে প্রকাশিত হলেও এই বই লেখার পিছনে আয়মানের দুই বন্ধু সাদমান এবং ইসমাইলের অবদান অনেক বেশি। বর্তমানে আর সাদমান ও ইসমাইল সাহিত্য জগতের সাথে জড়িত নেই। আয়মানের "সাইয়ান সাদিক পদক" পাওয়ার শর্ত হলো তাকে একাই এই পদক গ্রহণ করতে হবে।

  • This house as the Dalit community opposes the TTD training program

    One of the world’s richest temples, the Tirumala Tirupatie Devasthanams (TTD), since 2017 has been training people of SC/ST community to become priests. The trained preists are then assigned temples in which they work as a priest and this is messaged by TTD as a step towards breaking caste barriers. However, these priests are not allowed to be appointed in the most important and regular temples of TTD itself.
